He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Holness and Lauretta Russell; and his sister Inez Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Doris Holness (Abel); his sons, David Holness of Boston and Gary Holness (Sabrine Montaldo) of Boylston; his granddaughter Maeve Holness; and his sisters, Gertrude Brooks, Sonia Davey of Jamaica and Claudette Morgan of Jamaica. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cartwright Funeral Home - Randolph (419 N Main St, Randolph, MA 02368). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the First Congregational Church (1 S Main St, Randolph, MA 02368).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Envision Bank Home for Veterans, 26 Moulton St., Randolph, MA 02368, or to the Randolph Friendly Food Pantry, 1 Turner Ln, Randolph, MA 02368.
