He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: Martha Silva and Joseph Silva; wife: Ruth Ann Oliveira; children: Darlene Whitney (Jon), David Silva (Maria Laporte), Dianne Tosti (Scott) and Deborah Applin; grandchildren: Jonas Whitney (Bonnie), Jared Whitney, Rudy Whitney, Riley Applin, Jacob Applin, Holly Tosti and Isabel Tosti; great-grandchildren: Tobias Whitney and Ernest Whitney.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Douglass, Edgerley & Bessom Funeral Home (25 Sanborn St, Reading, MA 01867).
