We announce the death of Priscilla S. (Stiles) Poehler of Reading, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 14, 2026, at the age of 88. Priscilla will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Priscilla will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Priscilla will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Priscilla’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur F. Stiles and Hazel Stiles (Flood); her son Bradley D. Poehler; and her sisters, Muriel Ellis and Ruth Cutliffe.
She is survived by: her daughters, Julie E. Pizzano (Charles) of Reading and Linda S. Smith (Don) of Woburn; her grandchild C. J. Pizzano; and her brother-in-law Bill Cutliffe of Osterville.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Douglass Edgerley and Bessom Funeral Home (25 Sanborn St, Reading, MA 01867). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Chapel of the Old South United Methodist Church (6 Salem St, Reading, MA 01867).
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in priscilla's memory to the Winchester BIDMC Center for Cancer Care 620 Washington St. Winchester, MA 01890.
