He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Riley and Ruth Riley (Stone); and his siblings, Ruth McKinnon and Robert Riley. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn P. Riley (Davenport); his children, James R. Riley (Deborah) of East Sandwich and Janine M. Beaudoin (Daniel) of Reading; and his grandchildren, Nick, Dan, Tim, David, Daniel and Erica.
