He was predeceased by: his parents, David Hartigan and Nora Hartigan (Clancy); his wife Janet A. Hartigan (Middleton); and his siblings, George, William, David, James Hartigan, Teresa Motherwell, Catherine Martikke and Mary Rahilly.
He is survived by: his children, Nora Hartigan Sacco (David) of North Adams, Richard A. Hartigan of Ipswich, Patrick T. Hartigan of Winthrop and Terence M. Hartigan (Kristin) of Woodbury, NJ.; and his caregiver Julie. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (133 Beach St, Revere, MA 02151). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park.
