He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Mahon and Marion Carlisle Mahon; his sister Patricia; his brother-in-law Ferdinand Touponce; and his nephews, Patrick and Peter Touponce.

He is survived by: his wife Elaine "Judy" Filkins; his children, Pamela Mahon (Mark), Sharon Henault and Kevin Mahon (Christy); his grandchildren, Sarah Gaylord (Jake) and Brian Henault (Lauren); and his niece Karen Downey (Shawn). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bruce's memory can be made to the Richmond Fire Department in care of the Dwyer Funeral Home.
