He was predeceased by: his father Gordon Gichiengo; and his brother Matthew Gochiego. He is survived by: his mother Lizzie Mathu Gichiengo; his wife Priscilla Hayward; his daughters, Elizabeth Slemmer and Sarah Gichiengo Miles; and his siblings, Martha, Ann, Grace, Mary, Helen and Isaac Gichiengo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
