With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Katharyn Barnes of Richmond, Massachusetts, born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on March 16, 2025 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Katharyn Barnes to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Patricia Anderson, Dorothy Cowan, Elizabeth Underhill, Charolette Sauve, Ellen Caffrey, Ralph Gardner, Bill Gardner and Frank Scago.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Barnes; her children, Lauran Laurent (Allen) of Pittsfield, MA and Scott Barnes (Jennifer) of Corinth, ME.; her brother Skip Gardner; her sisters-in-law, Judy Scago, Sherry Graybeal, Nancy Gardner, Pat Gardner and Georgia Gardner; and her granddaughters, Riley Laurent and Josephine Barnes. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Robert Barnes, and will be used directly toward continuing Riley and Josephine's education.
