She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Marie Smith (Ryder) and Elwood Schuyler Smith; her son Scott T. McConnell; her brother Robert S. Smith (Joan); her sister-in-law Joan Smith (Riordan); and her nephew John E. Smith.
She is survived by: her former husband Richard Phillips McConnell (Dick); her daughter Jan M. McConnell of Braintree; her grandson Ryan D. McConnell (Elena); her great grandchild Isla M. McConnell; and her nieces, Susan, Linda and Nancy.
