Scott leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Scott’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Scott will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Miranda E. Bentley (Murphy); his mother Maureen A. "Moe" Murphy; and his father-in-law Robert A. Sweeney. He is survived by: his wife Ann Marie Murphy (Sweeney); his children, Shannon M. Murphy of Rockland and Nicholas M. Murphy of Rockland; his father George B. Janes of Laconia, N. H.; and his mother-in-law Denise Sweeney of Hanover. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Sweeney Brothers Home For Funerals (1 Independence Ave, Quincy, MA 02169). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Saint John the Baptist Church (44 School St, Quincy, MA 02169).
