Marianne T. Paradis Obituary
Marianne Teresa (Ragusa) Paradis, 68, a lifelong resident of Cape Ann, passed away peacefully at her home, on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, with her family by her side.
Born on July 30, 1956, in Gloucester, Massachusetts, to Charles and Ethel Ragusa, Marianne lived a life marked by grace, quiet strength, and deep devotion to her family and community. She worked for many years at the local unemployment office, where she was known for her professionalism, empathy, and steadfast commitment to helping others during times of need.
Marianne was the widow of Robert Paradis II, having shared many loving years of marriage before his passing. She is survived by their son, Robert Paradis III, who she loved deeply and cherished. Sisters and brothers, Frances Carollo, Patty and Joe Mastrorio, Angela and Frank Fulford, Stephen and Maria Ragusa and Frank Ragusa, sister-in-law, Lorraine Paradis Davis and her husband Ralph and their son, Brett Bartlett all of Arizona as well as many cousins, great-nieces and nephews and his close friends. Nieces and nephews, Ian Fulford, Stephen and Abbie Ragusa, Salvatore and Sandra Carollo, John and Maryjane Carollo, Tony and Natalia Carollo, Michelle Mastrorio, Lori and Mike Blessman, Joe and Alicia Mastrorio, Nicole and Anthony Pizzimenti, David Parson, Rachel and Jim Sorrento, Michael Ragusa and Demetria Hebblenck.
She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, steady presence, and the compassion she extended to all who knew her.
A Graveside Service will be held in Beech Grove Cemetery, 90 Pleasant Street, Rockport, on Thursday, July 17, at 1:45PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Rockport Fireman's Association, PO Box 3, Rockport, MA 01966. Arrangements by the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester.
