Thomas H. Jarman Obituary
Thomas Henry Jarman passed away on August 17, 2026.
Tom lived a long and full life defined by love: love of his family, friends, golf, fishing, and love for the Church. He met the love of his life, Joan, at Richmond Hill High School in Queens, NY and married her on his 19th birthday. He proudly served in the Navy for 4 years, where he learned the skills that led to a successful career in electronics design and manufacturing.
Tom and Joan retired to Rockport, MA in 2000, where they were embraced and adopted by this close-knit community. After the death of his wife in 2010, Tom rededicated his life to faith and prayer, supporting missionary efforts in the Dominican Republic and at home as a member of the St. Joachim congregation and as a Carmelite. He cherished the time spent with friends at the Hula Moon.
Tom was also preceded in death by his sisters Patricia and Barbara, his son David and grandchild William.
He is survived by his children William, Linda, Elizabeth, and Nancy; grandchildren Emily and David; and honorary daughter Tammy.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at St. Joachim Church, 56 Broadway Ave, Rockport, at 12:30 p.m., which would have been his 92nd birthday. Interment will follow immediately after in Beech Grove Cemetery, Rockport. A reception will be held after where friends and family are welcome to gather to share stories and remembrances and to celebrate Tom's life.
