He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mary M. Hanafin (Kelley) and William F. Hanafin of West Roxbury; his siblings, Mary G. Hourihan (Paul) of West Roxbury, Kathleen A. Hanafin of West Roxbury, Eric C. Hanafin (Heather) of Pembroke and William G. Hanafin (Arlene) of West Roxbury; his siblings' children, Kelly, Paul, David Hourihan, Daniel, Kevin, Mabel, Lila and Bridget Hanafin; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Billy, Sofia, Finley and Kaylee.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home (2000 Centre St, West Roxbury, MA 02132). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 8:45 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help (Mission Church) (1545 Tremont St, Boston, MA 02120).
