Louis R. Stevens Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Louis R. Stevens of Russell, Massachusetts, born in Springfield, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 16, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond J. Stevens and Evelyn E. Stevens (Nassar); his brothers, Mark R. Stevens and Michael J. Stevens; and his sisters-in-law, Christine Stevens, Christine Lessard and Malvina Florian.
He is survived by: his wife Laura M. Stevens (Couture); his children, Samuel P. Stevens (Elizabeth) of Springfield, Michael E. Stevens (Thongsamai) of Nashua, NH, Louis M. Stevens of Russell and Laura M. Rivas (Herminio Rivas, Jr.) of Wilbraham; his grandchildren, Matthew, Zachary, Zoe and Samuel Stevens; his children, Nicholas Stevens, Jacob, Alexander, Joseph Stevens, Sebastian and Isabella Rivas; his siblings, Joseph E. Stevens of Southwick, Mary Anne Shamatta (Louie) of Atlanta, GA, Paul A. Stevens (Louise) of Westfield and Raymond J. Stevens, Jr. (Susan) of Longmeadow; and his siblings-in-law, Laura M. Stevens (Klinakis) of Westfield, Alfred Couture (Julia) of Palmer, Edward Couture (Patty) of Springfield, Joseph Couture (Annette) of Springfield, Shirley Sherwood of Feeding Hills, Nancy Stengel (Steve) of Illinois and Beverly Billings (John) of Vermont. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins, numerous friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Springfield Chapels (7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 8:30 AM at the St. Pierre - Phaneuf Springfield Chapels (7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Anthony Maronite Catholic Church (375 Island Pond Rd, Springfield, MA 01118).
