She was predeceased by: her parents, John Murphy and Joan Murphy (Jacewicz); her husband Charles Shimkus; and her brothers, John "Jack" Murphy and Thomas Murphy.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Shimkus-Tambollio of North Brookfield, Michael Shimkus (Teresa) of Princeton, Diane Coderre (Steven) of Fremont, NH and John Shimkus of Rutland; and her pet Katie. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
