Robert V. Ackerman Sr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert V. Ackerman Sr. of Rutland, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 6, 2026 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E. Ackerman and Dorothy L. Ackerman (Hulton). He is survived by: his wife Sandra Ann Ackerman (Esposito); his children, Robert "Rob" V. Ackerman, Jr. (Alex DiPietro) of Oxford and Meagan M. Ackerman of Rutland; his son-in-law Andrew Decarolis of Rutland; his brother Gary Ackerman of Virginia; and his grandchildren, Layla, Cameron Decarolis, Joseph and Christopher Ackerman-Strong. He is also survived by several sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Miles Funeral Home (1158 Main St, Holden, MA 01520). A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
