We announce the death of Ernest Joseph Delpero (Salem, Massachusetts), who passed away on September 16, 2026, at the age of 88. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Delpero and Mary Delpero (Plecinoga); and his sisters, Rosemary Morse and Barbara Miller. He is survived by: his son Christopher Delpero; his daughters-in-law, Darianne and Maureen; his grandsons, Beau Wilder Delpero and Felix Joseph Delpero; and his sister Theresa Carroll (Dick). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. Mary's Cemetery (226 North St, Salem, MA 01970). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the St. John the Baptist Church (17 Chestnut St, Peabody, MA 01960).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Ernie's memory to Shriners Children's or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, two organizations he proudly supported throughout his life.
