He was predeceased by : his parents, Evangelo Kapnis and Jane Morris Jones Kapnis; and his siblings, Helen DeCoff, Elizabeth Sochat, Fred Johnston, Spiro and Dennis Kapnis.
He is survived by : his wife Ruth Ann Kapnis (Raymond) of Salem; his children, Cynthia Saulnier (Richard) of Peabody, Michael Kapnis (Maureen) of Salem, Patricia Hartnett (Joel) of Danvers, John Kapnis Jr. (Shirley) of Salem, Thomas Kapnis (Lisa) of Beverly, Laurie (Webster), Rick of Haverhill, Beth Kapnis-Livermore of Salem, Lisa Diminture (Thomas) of San Antonio, TX, Stephen Kapnis (Effie) of Peabody, Scott Webster (Dorene) of Gainesville, FL and Linda Drillis (George) of Danvers; his grandchildren, Haley Vellante (Christopher), Cameron Saulnier, Jilliann Pezzulo (John), Jaclyn Pelletier (Eric), Jonathan Hartnett (Jean), Meghan Hester (Drew), Katelyn Kiel (Eric), JT Kapnis, Benjamin Kapnis, Maxwell Kapnis, Mary Kapnis, Sydney Livermore, Lane Livermore, Anthony Diminture (Alexandra), Nicholas Diminture (Brittany), Troy Diminture (Elaine), Thomas Diminture, Dylan Diminture, Sierra Hecker (Cameron), Desiree Kapnis, Nikoleta Kapnis, Evan Kapnis, Julia Webster, Ryan Webster, Michael Spanos and Nicholas Spanos; and his great grandchildren, Jackson Vellante, Braedyn Hart, Emerson, Brooke Pezzulo, Beau Pelletier, Wesley, Eve Hartnett, Camden, Hayes Hester, Cooper, Leo Kiel, Henry, Emma, Arthur Diminture and Evelyn Diminture. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
