He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Vincent J. Dowdell Jr. and Jacqueline Dowdell (Jean); and his wife Mary Dowdell (Karonis). He was also cherished by four sisters and many relatives.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Murphy Funeral Home (85 Federal St, Salem, MA 01970). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park (185 Lake St, Peabody, MA 01960).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salem Pantry (thesalempantry.org), Northeast Animal Shelter (MSPCA Memorial Giving), or the Alzheimer's Association (End Alzheimer's).
