She was loved and cherished by many people including: her wife Ellen Bigney; her father Charles; her pet Macie; her sister-in-law Barbara Sampson; her nephew Zachary Sampson of Ft. Myers, FL; her aunt Bonnie Carlton of Dania, FL; and her brother Charles R. "Chuck" Sampson.
