With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Syna Jan Walsh of Salem, Massachusetts, born in Winthrop, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 19, 2026 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by: her parents, Abraham Chaet and Kate Chaet (Sheinshon); her husband George James Walsh; her children, Janys Walsh, Shelley Walsh, Michael Walsh and Sean Walsh; and her sisters, Phyllis Lechtur, Lois Drieman and Barbara Pinsley.
She is survived by: her children, James Walsh of Salem, Karen Walsh of Lynn, Kevin Walsh (Amanda) of Gloucester, Valerie Tinkham (Bruce) of Danvers and Kimberly Comeau (Marc) of Rowley; and her grandchildren, Jamie Walsh of Lawrence, Paula Walsh of Lowell, Nick Walsh (Jeanele) of California, Michelle Creasi (Ryan) of Middleton, Jasen Walsh of Salem, Jessie Conti (Stu) of Lynn, Jamie McDaid (Ruben) of Lynn, Samantha Walsh of Wakefield, David Walsh of Peabody, William Walsh of Peabody, Christopher Meneades (Berwald) of Dorchester, Katelyn Meneades of Beverly, Larissa Tinkham of South Carolina, Chad Tinkham of New Hampshire, Morgan Walsh of Salem, Kevin Walsh Jr. of Gloucester, Kevin Spause of Rowley, Haley Kenney (Aaron) of New Hampshire, Kristy Spause (Samuel) of Marblehead and Kelly Kozlowski of Rowley. She is also survived by her seventeen great-grandchildren.
