He was predeceased by : his parents, Marie and Edmund, Sr.; and his former life partner Elizabeth. He is survived by : his brother Henry (Carol Lukas); his children, Peter Lukas and Kate Lukas McGowan; his children-in-law, Madeline and James; and his grandchildren, Katherine, Abigail Lukas, Dylan and Elizabeth McGowan. He is also survived by several in-laws, nieces and nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends.
