With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bernice Dunn of Saugus, Massachusetts, born in Charlestown, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 19, 2024 at the age of 96. She was predeceased by : her husband Joseph Dunn; her son Joseph; and her siblings, Edna Broyles, Peggy Butler, Grace Watson, Hank, Leo Williams and Carol Harrison.

She is survived by : her children, John Dunn (Rallou) of Topsfield, Bernice Orlandello (Joe) of Revere, James Dunn, Timothy Dunn of Chelsea, Patrick Dunn (Denise) of Atlanta, GA, Ann Quinlan (Jim) of Boxford, Grace and Christine Dunn; her brothers, Frank, Jim Williams of Michigan, Jay Carney of Saugus and Paul Carney of Middleton; and her caregiver Brenda Canelas. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Smith Funeral Home (125 Washington Ave, Chelsea, MA 02150). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Rose Church (600 Broadway, Chelsea, MA 02150). A burial was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 12:15 PM at the Woodlawn Cemetery (302 Elm St, Everett, MA 02149).

In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored if you'd share a joke with friends or make some amends, enjoy a cuppa tea and plant some flowers for all to see.
