He was predeceased by: his wife Carole Bienkowski; his parents, Freeman Locklin and Edna Locklin (Larson); his sister Carolyn Locklin Short Cohen; and his daughter-in-law Noreen Locklin (Sterling).

He is survived by: his sons, Erik Locklin (Lisa) and Greg Locklin; and his sister Andrea Hunt (Jim). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
