She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Richardson and Margaret Richardson; her husband Stephen McDermott; and her brothers, Michael and Daniel "Buzzy" Richardson.
She is survived by: her children, Stephen (Kathy McDermott), Sheila (Colin Delaney), John McDermott, Christopher (Amy McDermott) and Erin Servaes; her grandchildren, Tom (Silvia Taylor) of Brighton, England, Devin, Meghan Delaney, Sean, Brigid McDermott, Caleigh and Aislinn Servaes; and her sisters-in-law, Martha McDermott Gaeta and Eileen McDermott. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Joanne's name may be given to the Autumn Hospice/Dream Foundation at autumnhospice.com, in Norwell, Massachusetts, or the Scituate Animal Shelter.
