He was predeceased by: his spouse Claire J. McDonough (McLaughlin); his parents, William McDonough and Marie McDonough (Lee); and his siblings, Mary Theresa Kenney, William John McDonough, Michael Francis McDonough, Catherine Marie Sullivan, Anna Veronica Alexander, John Edward McDonough, Margaret Eileen Perry and Thomas McDonough.
He is survived by: his sons, Liam McDonough of Scituate and Stephen Remedis of Scituate; his grandchild Lindsay Raty; and his friend Boston. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the McNamara-Sparrell Funeral Home - Cohasset (160 S Main St, Cohasset, MA 02025). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (2 Summer St, Cohasset, MA 02025).
