She was predeceased by : her parents, Francis A. Murphy and Nellie B. Murphy (Leavitt); her husband Mark M. McDonough; her son James F. McDonough; and her daughter-in-law Nancy Pollack McDonough.

She is survived by : her children, Mary Holmes (Mitchell) of Plymouth and Stephen McDonough of Waltham; her grandchildren, Ashley Ciccolo, Mark Holmes, James Jr., Robert and Ruby McDonough; and her great grandchild Jackson Holmes.
