With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peter Woods Sweeney of Scituate, Massachusetts, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on May 25, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert F. Sweeney and Joanne Sweeney (Woods). He is survived by: his wife Joan Sweeney (Branton); his brother Robert Sweeney (Lorraine Sweeney); his nieces and nephews, Lauren, Matthew and Dan Sweeney; his sisters, Carol Branton, Virginia (Edward Lizotte), Margaret Watson (Paul Gearin) and Ann (William Branton); and his nieces and nephews, Acadia, Dave Jewett, Thomas, Caroline Watson, Wil, Rosalie and Olivia Branton.
The family requests that face masks be worn at both services.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
