She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Backes and Jeanne Backes (Vogt). She is survived by: her husband Thomas; her son Joseph; and her brother Paul. She is also survived by her granddaughters, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Perry-McStay Funeral Home (2555 Pawtucket Ave, East Providence, RI 02914). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Margaret Church (1098 Pawtucket Ave, Rumford, RI 02916).
