With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rita R. Bernier of Seekonk, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 12, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Roger F. Bernier; her parents, George Roy and Anna Roy (Flynn); and her siblings, Leo Roy, Roger Roy, Eugene Roy, Raymond Roy, Gerald Roy, Bertrand Roy, Annette Thompson, Yvette Theriault and Irene Dyer.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Ferguson (David) of Homosassa, FL, Susan Dietz (Bill) of Casa Grande, AZ, Sharon Moura (Bill) of East Providence, RI, Sheila Correia (Manuel) of Chepachet, RI, Sonya Moniz (Arthur) of Seekonk, MA, Stephen Bernier (Lorie) of Swansea, MA and Scott Bernier (Joann) of Corona, CA; Sam.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Perry-McStay Funeral Home (2555 Pawtucket Ave, East Providence, RI 02914). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Martha Church (2595 Pawtucket Ave, East Providence, RI 02914).
