He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph E. Cockayne and Grace Cockayne (Mathie). He is survived by : his wife Arlene Cockayne (Bottis); his sons, William Cockayne (Jennifer) of Easton, MD and Robert Cockayne of Leominster, MA; his grandchildren, Christopher Cockayne (Megan) of Oxford, MS and Sarah Creech (Jason) of Ludow, KY; and his great grandchildren, Adelyn Cockayne and Allister Creech. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
