She was predeceased by: her parents, Rae Kaplan (Bucholz) and Saul Kaplan; and her brother George Kaplan. She is survived by: her husband Philip S. Smith; her children, Randy McCallum (late Robert McCallum) of Sharon, Roberta Staula (Robert Staula) of Sharon and Tracey Smith of Sharon; her granddaughters, Julia Staula and Nicole Staula; her brother Allen Kaplan of Benicia, CA; and her sibling's children, Robert, Paul, Linda, Brian, Melissa, Allison and David.
