With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kenneth S. Hood of Sharon, Massachusetts, born in Dorchester, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 18, 2026 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Lovell Hood, Jr. and Jessie Eleanor Hood (Sweenie); his siblings, Leo, Robert and Patrice Marie; and his siblings-in-law, Nicholas Menelick, Marci and Joan.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Kirwin; his daughters, Maggie Hood, Jessica Hood of Lowell and Emily Hood (Brian MacIsaac) of Dorchester; his grandchildren, Alexis Hood and Colin Richardson; his great grandchild Antonio Hood; his siblings, Carol Hood of Dorchester, Judith Hood of Northville, Nancy Menelik of Milton, Marilyn Hood Dayhuff (Bill) of Bozeman, Montana and Malcolm (Susan) of Dorchester; his sisters-in-law, Judith Kirwin Williams (James) of Waterford and Donna Kirwin of Lowell; his friend Louise Kearns of Dorchester; and his pet Winston "Winnie" Hood. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
