He was predeceased by: his parents, David Rice and Lida Rice (Maynard). He is survived by: his children, Sheila Ricko of Millers Falls and Christopher of Charlemont; his stepsons, George Thayer of Greenfield and Stephen Thayer of Charlemont; his grandchildren, Amanda Beauchese, David Thayer, Scott Thayer (Jackie), Logan Ricko and Morgan Ricko; and his siblings, George Rice of West Hawley and Paula Rice of Charlemont. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
