It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edith M. Garvey of Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, who passed away on May 24, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Filomena Valeski (Stokarski) and Stanley Valeski; her husband Robert Garvey; her sister Rosalie; and her siblings-in-law, Stanley Beckta of South Deerfield and Renata Valeski of California.
She is survived by: her son Mark Garvey of Greenfield; her siblings, Frances York of South Deerfield, Barbara Bassingthwaite (David) of Deerfield, Stanley Valeski of Boulder City and Conrad Valeski of Greenfield; and her godson John Beckta. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A burial was held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (34 Monroe Ave, Shelburne Falls, MA 01370).
