She was predeceased by: her parents, George Sweet and Marjorie Sweet (Page); and her brother Robert Sweet. She is survived by: her husband Arthur Newell; her sons, Paul (Heather) of Greenfield, Robert (Bettina) of Boaz, AL and Daniel (Leslie Stratford) of Turners Falls; her grandchildren, Justin Newell (Emma), Sean Bittner, Katie Woodbury (Derek), Alyssa Rebolledo (Henry) and James Nurmi; her great grandchildren, Madison and Maeve; her siblings, Lawrence Sweet (Jamie) and Shirley Schreiber (Thomas); her sister-in-law Mary Sweet; and her pets, Shadow and Fluffy. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Pioneer Valley Hospice & Palliative Care or Franklin County Sheriff's Office Regional Dog Shelter.
