He was predeceased by: his wife Rita L. Smith (Pauley); his parents, Chester Smith and Anna Smith (LePage); and his brothers, Edward Smith of Shirley and Robert Smith of Melbourne, Florida..
He is survived by: his children, Sonny Smith of Gardner, David M. Smith of Milford, NH, John G. Smith of Medway, Donna M. Jordan of Fitchburg and Sharon A. Copenhaver of Belchertown. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
