He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley Gendreau (Talbot); his son William Gendreau; his siblings, Arthur Gendreau, Joseph Gendreau, Raymond Gendreau, Rene Gendreau, Raoul Gendreau, Armand Gendreau, Cecile Stanick and Irene Petruzzi; and his parents, Alphonse Gendreau and Josephine Gendreau (Breault).
He is survived by: his children, Donald Gendreau and Cheryl Gendreau (Michelle Lavallee) of Auburn; his daughter-in-law Justine (Gendreau) of Quinebaug, CT; his sisters, Jean Benoit of Chicopee and Lucille Tremblay of Southbridge; his grandchildren, Greg Joy, Karen Joy, Ryan Gendreau and Ashley Gendreau; and his great grandchildren, Hunter Joy, William Gendreau and Leon Gendreau. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home (130 Hamilton St, Southbridge, MA 01550).
