She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael O'Shea and Bridget O'Shea (Brennan); her son George Michael Knittel; and her sister Betty Reinertsen. She is survived by: her husband George Herman Knittel of Shirley, MA; her sister Alice Norkett of Merrick, NY; and her children, Bridget Atkinson of Ashburn, James Knittel, Maggie Porpora, Matthew Knittel and Timothy Knittel. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren.
