With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Stanley Edgar Nelson Jr. of Shirley, Massachusetts, born in Concord, Massachusetts, who passed away on July 6, 2025. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Stanley Edgar Nelson Jr. to pay them a last tribute.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Stanley shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Stanley farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Nelson Sr. and Cynthia Nelson. He is survived by: his wife Heidi Nelson (McHugh); his children, Daniel Nelson, Courtney Bedford (Matty) and Nicole Nelson; his grandchildren, Aliyah and Cameron; and his sisters, Gail Meyers (Bruce) and Lisa Friedrichs (Eric).

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Acton Funeral Home (470 Massachusetts Ave, Acton, MA 01720).

Those who wish may make memorial contributions in memory of Stan to The American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown MD 21741 or to the Alzheimer's Association, PO Box 96011, Washington DC 20090-6011.

“I can't listen to Frank Sinatra without hearing Stan's songs wind their way through our neighborhood.. My late husband Jay, and I frequently danced on our lawn to Summer Wind. Stan seemed to be often in motion, working on his yard, checking in on neighbors or neighborhood happenings. I remember the evening Stan and Nicole came to our yard to watch a mama bear and her cub on our hillside. We will miss his energy, humor & general feistiness. Our neighborhood won't be the same without him.”
