He was predeceased by: his spouse Shirley Bettke (McCutcheon); his parents, Edward Bettke and Bertha Bettke (Boehm); his son Edward Bettke II; and his siblings, George Bettke, Norman Bettke and Lorraine Konow (Bettke).
He is survived by: his children, Mark Bettke (Faith Lavallee) of Sutton, MA, Janet Bovaird (Wayde) of Holden, MA and Debra Buxton (Richard) of Boylston, MA.; his grandsons, Richard Buxton (Caitlyn) of Manchester, NH, Tanner Buxton (Lindsey Bosak) of East Haven, CT and Cody Edward Bovaird (Lexi Grill) of Oxford, MA.; his great grandchild Theodore Buxton of Manchester, NH; his niece Lisa Bettke; his close friend Ruth Farrell of Naples, FL; Patty McGreevey. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
