He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy V. "Benny" Benson and Mary M. "Peggy" Benson (Gately); his wife Jean A. Benson (Savinen); and his brother Kevin C. Benson. He is survived by: his children, Jay L. Benson (Gina) of Newton and Jill A. Jackson (Rob) of Marlborough; his grandchildren, Colin, Clare and Brielle; and his siblings, Gary Benson (Janet) of Centerville, Roy Benson (Ann), Drew Benson (Emma) of Grafton and Laurie Benson (Charlie Darling) of Worcester. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family.
