He was predeceased by: his son William J. "Billy" Peterson; his siblings-in-law, Wanda Girouard and Anthony "Tony" French; and his parents, Allen Peterson and Sylvia Peterson (Tastula).
He is survived by: his wife Claire; his brother Robert W. "Bobby" Peterson; his siblings-in-law, Joan McEwen, Lois Doncaster, Brian French (Kathy) and Fred Girouard; and his nephews, Jon McEwen and James McEwen. He is also survived by several cousins, and many amazing friends, and neighbors.
