She was predeceased by: her grandsons, Keith Peirce and John Sullivan; her brother Ronald Mitchell; and her parents, John J Mitchell and Ida Mitchell (Teso).
She is survived by: her husband Michael J. McCarthy; her children, John F. Monahan, III (Brenda) of Shrewsbury, Michael P. Monahan (Sheri) of Boylston and Cathleen M. Liberty (Robert) of Worcester; and her siblings, Michael Mitchell of Whitinsville, Robert Mitchell, William Mitchell of Boylston, Rita Vermeesch of Fort Lauderdale and Theresa Tokla of Mashpee. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
