With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Rae M. Koenig of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Koenig; her father Arno Bodenstedt; her adoptive father Rev. Albert Schofer; her mother Lettie Schofer; and her brothers, Glen Schofer and William Bodenstedt.
She is survived by: her children, Jay Koenig (Tifeny) and Jodi Colby; her granddaughter Kaitlyn Colby; her siblings, Karen Abel, Ellen Fulmer (Bill) and Alvin Schofer (Kathy); and her sister-in-law Beverly Schofer. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chiampa Funeral Home (5 Church Rd, Shrewsbury, MA 01545). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the same location.
