William Tate Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Tate in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, who passed away on November 19, 2025 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William Tate to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Tate and Madeline Tate (Allen); and his stepfather Donald Stone. He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his son William (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Joanna and Samuel; his son Jeffrey (Michelle); his grandchildren, Madeline, Samantha and Henry; his daughter Catherine Whitehead (Richard); his granddaughter Hilary McCarthy (Gregory); his great grandchild Myles; his grandsons, Timothy and Charles (Cora); his great grandchild Charlotte; and his sister Doris Joyner.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Poitras, Neal & York Funeral Home (71 Maple St, Cornish, ME 04020).

In his memory, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
