She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Garell and Bessie Garell; her siblings, David Smith, Lawrence Garell, Frances Garell, Lorraine Steely, Ruth Brestel, Sidney Garell and Shirley Armstrong; and her sons-in-law, Michael Ponte and Tom Sundstrom.
She is survived by: her children, Betty Ponte, Bill Perry (Sue), Kate Perry and Mary Perry (Stuart Bowers); her sister-in-law Lorraine Garell; her grandchildren, Sara Farias (Victor Sousa), Katie Pavao (Paul), Alison Jussaume (Tim), Lisa Nowicki (Leon) and Ross Perry (Erin); and her great grandchildren, Gabbie Farias, Charlie Farias, Maddie Pavao, Lily Pavao, Amelia Nowicki, Oden Perry and Whitney Perry.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hathaway Community Home For Funerals (900 Buffinton St, Somerset, MA 02726). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the HATHAWAY COMMUNITY HOME FOR FUNERALS (900 Buffinton St, Somerset, MA 02726). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Louis de France Church (56 Buffinton St, Swansea, MA 02777).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Somerset Public Library, or your local library in Bert's name.
