We are sad to announce that on December 2, 2021, Alda Resendes Tavares of Somerset, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Alberto Resendes and Lidia Resendes (DaSilva); and her son Brian Joseph Tavares. She is survived by: her husband Ronald Tavares; her sons, Eric Tavares (Jessica Fiola) of Fall River and Craig Tavares (Megan Mulligan) of Somerset; her sibling Messias "Lee" Leandro; her sisters-in-law, Irene Parandelis (Tavares) and Lorriane Tavares; and her grandchildren, Emma Alexandria Tavares, Connor Brian Tavares and Daniel Joseph Tavares.

The Tavares family would appreciate and would like to thank everyone in advance for wearing a mask and social distancing while in the funeral home, within the church, and while at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, her family asks that you honor her memory by loving fiercely, laughing often, and treating everyone you meet with kindness and compassion.
