He was predeceased by: his parents, John Soares and Umbelina Soares (Charves); his wife Helen J. Soares (Silvia); and his siblings, Evelyn Duff, Manuel, William, John, Antone and Joseph Soares.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas A. Soares (Diane) and Paula G. Soares (Tom Franek); his sister Olive Oliveira; his grandchildren, Rebecca, Corylyn and Rachel; his great grandchildren, Camden, Auron, Cailyn and Finn; and his sibling's child Antone Soares.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted by the Somerset Fire Department 475 County Street, Somerset, MA 02726 to purchase a tool in Arthur's name.
