He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward C. Boyd and Mary Boyd-Doucet (Bento). He is survived by: his children, David E. Boyd, Jr. and Christine Rego; his grandchildren, Tyler Rego (Gina) and Lindsey Uhl (Stephane); and his cousins, Stephen Amaral and Shirley Roy.
